Nearly 20 years ago, on December 26th, 2004, a devastating tsunami struck the southeastern coast of India, ravaging the towns of Karaikal, Nagapattinam, and Velankanni. In response, a DPM outreach support team, led by Danny and Elsie, was quickly formed to help rebuild the lives of the affected communities. This effort was carried out with guidance from a local church in Karaikal, under the leadership of Pastors Vincent and Sathya, and continued until 2010. Through this project, a strong bond was established with the local churches, paving the way for Danny, Elsie, and NZ trustees Alan and Lynda to return and minister in these areas.
On August 13th, Elsie spoke at a Women’s Conference attended by over 350 women. Elsie’s message, drawn from Derek Prince’s teaching “The Rod of God”, empowered the attendees by revealing their authority in Christ through the proclamation of God’s Word. The women left the conference filled with joy and courage. One attendee expressed her gratitude, saying, "You not only taught us about authority, but also how we can receive it. Thank you so much!"
The following day, they traveled to Nagapattinam for a DPM-organized one-day seminar for pastors. The seminar exceeded expectations as Elsie shared from Derek’s profound teachings on “The Divine Exchange”. One pastor’s wife was moved to tears, sharing how she learned that “Jesus was rejected so that I might be accepted.” She continued,
"Today I realized that Jesus gave up His place as the Son so that I could have the same relationship with the Father. To know that I am loved as much as Jesus is loved broke my heart. This truth has inspired me to share this good news, and I am confident it will touch and transform many lives."
Another pastor shared, "I have preached about the cross many times, but I never realized there were so many dimensions to what Christ accomplished there. This teaching has completely transformed my life and ministry."
On August 15th, the team returned to Karaikal to minister at a Women's Revival Conference, organized by the Synod of Pentecostal Churches. Women leaders from various congregations gathered to learn how to overcome their daily struggles through Derek Prince’s teaching “The Divine Exchange”. One participant testified,
"I arrived with a heavy heart, burdened by financial struggles. But as Pastor Elsie spoke, a joy began to rise within me. Now, I feel light, as if floating on a cloud. Though my struggles aren't over, the truth that Jesus became poor so that I might share in His abundance will bring me victory. I believe I will become a vessel of freedom for others through this truth."
That evening, the team ministered at the Freedom Youth Conference, where Elsie’s message helped the young people understand their identity in Christ and empowered them to stand boldly for God. The Lord’s anointing was evident throughout the gathering.
In just three days, the Lord opened doors for the team to minister to well over a thousand women, youth, and pastors.
May the Lord bless all those who prayed and supported this ministry!
