The start of 2025 saw our team embark on a challenging yet rewarding mission trip to Stueng Trang province, located in the northern-most part of Cambodia, bordering Laos. This journey, spanning approximately eight hours, presented its own set of obstacles. Our vehicle encountered two mechanical issues along the way, but we remained steadfast, praising God for His protection and preserving our spirits for the task ahead.
The primary objective of this trip was to equip local pastors, particularly those ministering to the Kravet ethnic minority group, with valuable DPM teaching materials. We were deeply encouraged by the initiative of the Provincial Pastors’ Committee, which carries the heart of the shepherd to care for the under-served Kravet minority group.
The Hunger for God’s Word
Despite the unexpected challenges with our vehicle, which broke down twice along the way, we arrived with joyful hearts and successfully organized a pastors’ seminar. We were genuinely inspired by the dedication of the 63 pastors, particularly those from the Kravet ethnic group, who traveled five hours by motorbike in the early morning cold, starting at 4am; a testament to their hunger for God's Word.

We prepared food for their arrival since they had not had breakfast and were hungry after a long drive. These small acts of kindness can go a long way in showing care and consideration for their well-being. We understand that when their tummies are full, they can learn better.
Such seminars are rare in this region, underscoring the ministry's importance in providing these valuable opportunities for spiritual growth and encouragement. The participants eagerness to learn and appreciation for the teachings highlight the impact these seminars have on their lives and ministries.
Valuable DPM Teaching Materials
We equipped the Kravet pastors with a selection of six impactful DPM books in the Khmer language, including What's So Important About the Cross?, Will You Intercede?, Hearing God's Voice, Authority and Power of God's Word, Faith and Works, and The Power of the Sacrifice.
These books address crucial theological and practical aspects of Christian life and ministry, providing valuable resources for these pastors as they navigate the challenges of ministry within their community.

Given the unique challenges and isolation faced by the Kravet ethnic group, these teachings will undoubtedly be invaluable. They will serve as a source of spiritual nourishment, equipping them to face persecution with unwavering faith and effectively minister to their communities.
By providing these resources, we are equipping the pastors and sowing seeds of faith that will continue to bear fruit within the Kravet community for years to come.
Intercessor for the Kravet Ethnic Group
The testimony of the Kravet pastor was deeply moving. He shared the unique challenges faced by his ethnic minority group, including facing persecution and discrimination for their Christian faith. Despite these obstacles, their unwavering belief in Jesus Christ remains unshaken.
He described how they are often labeled as "straying" from their community's ancestral beliefs, facing accusations and judgment for embracing a different path. However, their faith in Jesus Christ remains steadfast. Derek’s book Will You Intercede? touched him so much that he agreed to be an intercessor for his ethnic group. He and other pastors will continue to pray for their community, believing that God will reveal Himself to their people and guide them toward the truth.
This testimony powerfully reminds us of the resilience of the human spirit and the enduring power of faith in the face of adversity. It highlights the importance of supporting and encouraging minority groups in their spiritual journeys and standing in solidarity with them against discrimination and persecution.
The Kravet pastor's unwavering faith inspires us all, reminding us that even in the face of opposition, the light of Christ can shine brightly.
