Our journey to Mondulkiri, a remote province bordering Vietnam, was nothing short of transformative. The seven-hour journey through rugged terrain reflected the isolation faced by the communities in this part of Cambodia. The trip was long, but the mission was clear: to equip pastors from the Bunong ethnic group, the largest indigenous group in the region, with the spiritual resources they so desperately need.
In an area where access to educational materials is scarce, we carefully selected three core DPM books — The Power of the Sacrifice, The Authority and Power of God’s Word, and Hear God’s Voice — to guide and nurture their faith. Despite the challenging travel conditions, 40 pastors from different villages attended the seminar. Some of them arrived a day early, knowing the long distances they had to cover, which spoke volumes about their thirst for spiritual growth.
The cool mountain climate did little to dampen their resolve, as many pastors braved hours of travel, wrapped warmly to endure the journey. Pastor Lon, the provincial chairperson, greeted everyone with kindness, offering refreshments as a sign of his care and consideration for the participants.
Come to Me, All Who Labor and Are Heavy Laden!
Upon arrival, the exhaustion from such long travels was evident on everyone’s face, so our team led the praise and worship service by playing guitar with a few songs to lift up the name of Jesus. The worries and burdens each person carried seemed to fade away. Though each person faces different challenges and difficulties, the words of Jesus, as outlined in Matthew 11:28-30, reminded everyone of His promise:
"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
The seminar’s format, incorporating worship and small group discussions, proved highly effective. The small group setting allowed for deeper engagement and facilitated meaningful discussions, even for those with limited literacy. While the initial response may have been modest, these teachings will catalyze spiritual growth and transformation within the Bunong community.
This experience reaffirmed the importance of reaching out to unreached communities and providing them with the resources and support they need to thrive spiritually. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside these dedicated pastors and witness the power of God’s Word to transform lives, even in the most remote corners of the country.
Testimony of Yay Pang: From Bondage to Freedom
My name is Yay Pang, and I am from Tapun. Many of the villagers in my community live trapped in bondage to the devil. They avoid eating lemons and doves because when they do, some experience sickness, diarrhea, fevers, or other troubles in their families. To find relief, they offer sacrifices—killing pigs, cows, or chickens to appease the devil. But even after these sacrifices, they remain trapped in fear and bondage.

Everything changed for me when I believed in Jesus Christ. He offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for sin once and for all. Through His blood, shed on the cross, we are redeemed and set free from the bondage of the devil.
Derek Prince’s book, The Power of Sacrifice, has deepened my understanding of the power of Jesus’ sacrifice and how to apply it in my life. Through what I’ve learned, I now confidently declare victory over Satan through the blood of Jesus. I am committed to using this truth to bring hope and freedom to my community. All glory to God!
