In the quiet hills along Vietnam’s south-central coast, a remarkable story of faith and perseverance unfolded. A tribal woman had long walked a difficult path—shunned by her family, pressured by authorities, and even opposed by her own husband for believing in Christ. Yet she never wavered. Day after day, she prayed faithfully for her husband, trusting God to work in his heart. Then, one courageous step changed everything. She invited her husband to travel nearly 70 kilometres to attend a worship and bible teaching service supported by Derek Prince Ministries. For the first time, he agreed. As he listened to the pastor share God’s Word, his heart was touched. Responding to the call of Christ, he stepped forward and received Him, transforming not just his life but the life of their entire family. Tears of joy flowed as his wife witnessed the answer to years of prayer—a vivid reminder of God’s faithfulness and power.
This is not an isolated story. Across Vietnam, countless families live in spiritual darkness, longing for the hope and truth of the gospel. While the country has over 100 million people, estimates suggest that only around 7-10% identify as Christian, and many have little or no access to sound biblical teaching. Thousands are waiting to hear the life-changing message of God’s Word—just like this husband did.
Pastor “D”, located in Da Nang, regularly travels with his team throughout Vietnam to hold gospel outreaches and pastors’ seminars. The terrain they travel across is treacherous – last December, in the middle of the night, they found themselves in a life and death situation when the road ahead had been washed away. But they refuse to allow this – or the continuing persecution from the local authorities – prevent them from taking Derek’s life-changing Bible teaching to those who so desperately need it. Twenty outreaches were held over the Christmas season, with 300 children and over 100 adults coming to salvation. Hundreds of Derek’s books and proclamation cards were freely distributed, along with humanitarian aid packages.

How You Can Help
Our Derek Prince representative, pastor “D” and his team of 10 DPM sponsored pastors/evangelists, dedicate themselves to hold 1-2 seminars each month, providing local pastors and leaders with foundational Bible teaching. These leaders are then empowered to disciple others, multiplying the impact of Derek’s teaching across many villages and towns.
We would like to enable our DPM-Vietnam team to continue this excellent work and ask if you could please consider partnering with us in this ministry.
- The average cost to hold a seminar is just $800 (transport, meals, accommodation) and we would like to fund 20 seminars this year.
- We also need to reprint 30,000 more books and 15,000 proclamation cards for a total cost of $13,270.
- Or, you may be able to sponsor one of our 10 central Vietnam pastors/evangelists costing just $217 each per month ($2,604 each per year).
Thank you for considering these requests.

“My name is Mean Sochida. I am a pastor and also serve as a Women’s Christian Leader in Kampong Chhnang province (central Cambodia). I thank God with all my heart for the opportunity to attend the Derek Prince Ministries seminar alongside many other pastors in our region. During the seminar, I joined a group that studied Derek’s book Spiritual Warfare. This powerful book reminded me of the reality of spiritual battles and how we, as believers, can overcome them through God’s strength. It deepened my understanding and strengthened my faith. I have faced many challenges—sickness, financial hardship, and persecution. These were times when the enemy tried to destroy me. Satan would whisper lies, telling me, “You are not righteous. You are not holy.” But I know the truth: I am made righteous and holy through Jesus Christ. His Word gives me strength, confidence, and daily victory. I’ve been encouraging my church members and other Christians to stand strong in spiritual warfare. I often remind them: You must put on the full armor of God and rely on His power to stand against the devil’s schemes. Two months later many of them have come back to me saying, “Praise the Lord! I feel stronger and more confident than before.”

Every month, our DPM-Cambodia Director, Mr Huy Ly, and his team travel across Cambodia to hold seminars for pastors and leaders, and to distribute Derek’s books. These seminars are crucial for these pastors who need access to sound Bible teaching. Time after time, Huy sees their eagerness to grow in the Word and in their faith. A pastor testified following a seminar, “This seminar encouraged me to grow stronger in prayer, to share my testimony boldly, and to worship Him with all my heart. I sincerely thank God for the opportunity to learn through this DPM seminar. My faith has been strengthened, and my focus has been renewed toward God’s purpose for my life. May God bless you all.
Gospel outreaches are also held throughout the year and many hundreds have come to salvation as a result.

How You Can Help
- Most pastors in Cambodia have little to no access to Christian resources and rely on Derek Prince Ministries to supply them with the Bible teaching they require. This year we need to reprint 56,000 more books so we can continue equipping pastors and Christian leaders across Cambodia. Reprinting all these books, plus 28,000 proclamation cards will cost approximately $60,000.
- Each seminar, for around 50 pastors and Christian leaders, costs $1,800. May I ask, could you please prayerfully consider making a gift toward the cost of this amazing work to help pastors being trained in the Word of God?
Our heart is to see hundreds more pastors and Christian leaders throughout Vietnam and Cambodia trained and resourced with sound Bible teaching using Derek’s materials, and to see thousands of lives saved and transformed through the message of the gospel.
All donations made by New Zealand donors are tax-deductible.
Your support to help bring Bible teaching to millions in southeast Asia is genuinely needed and greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
