The past few months have brought some wonderful developments for our Derek Prince Ministries Israel outreach. With new books arriving, a much-needed vehicle now in operation, and two major gatherings providing opportunities to reach thousands of people, Andy and Carla Ure have had a particularly busy few weeks.
Despite the challenges earlier this year, the work continues to move forward. As of 12 October, 7,056 Derek Prince books have been distributed across Israel in 2026, through our partnership with Christian Friends of Israel (CFI) Jerusalem.
Two Major Gatherings, Hundreds of Books
At the end of September, the ICEJ Feast of Tabernacles brought Christians from around the world to Israel for worship, teaching and fellowship.
Derek Prince books were made available during the gathering, and the response was remarkable. Approximately 740 books were distributed, with all available copies taken on the very first day!
Immediately afterward, Andy and Carla participated in the Festival of Life at Baptist Village, a gathering bringing together believers from congregations across Israel.
They had prepared approximately 2,000 books and brought along a gazebo and everything needed to set up a Derek Prince Ministries stand. Visitors were invited to help themselves to the books, completely free of charge.
This was especially demanding because Carla and several members of the CFI team were still recovering from a particularly unpleasant virus. Nevertheless, Andy and Carla pressed on, and by the end of the event, 968 books had been distributed, mainly in Russian and Hebrew, followed by English.
New Relationships and Open Doors
One of the most encouraging aspects of the Festival of Life was the opportunity to meet pastors and ministry leaders who want to bring Derek's teaching into their own congregations.
Among them was Pastor Daniel from Peniel Fellowship in Tiberias. He was already familiar with Derek Prince and requested a substantial selection of Hebrew, Russian and English books for his church.
And the follow-up didn't take long!
During the following week, Andy and Carla visited Peniel and Faithful Galileans in Tiberias, along with Beit Emmanuel Rehab and another ministry contact. Together, these visits resulted in another 875 books being distributed.
This is exactly the kind of ongoing relationship we hope to develop. Books are not simply handed out at an event. They find their way into congregations and ministries where they can continue to be used for teaching, discipleship and personal encouragement.
Another encouraging example came earlier this summer, when Pastor Saleem received 40 copies of Derek's ‘Self-Study Bible Course’, intending to use them with his congregation for their summer Bible study programme.
A New Vehicle Makes a Real Difference
Another major answer to prayer has been the acquisition of an additional vehicle for the First Fruits book distribution work.
Until recently, Andy and Carla often depended on the availability of shared CFI vehicles, which could make planning visits and transporting larger quantities of books difficult.
The additional Citroën C4, acquired through CFI with support being coordinated through Derek Prince Ministries, is now in use and is already proving its value.
Andy and Carla can keep a selection of Derek Prince books in several languages in the vehicle, ready to respond whenever an opportunity arises.
It also proved particularly useful during the Festival of Life, transporting around 2,000 books along with the gazebo and other equipment.
What might seem like a simple practical investment is making a real difference to the team's ability to reach people across the country.
Eleven New Titles Ready for Distribution
We are also delighted that eleven additional Derek Prince titles have arrived in Israel during the past three months.
These include six Hebrew titles, four Russian titles and an Amharic edition of ‘They Shall Expel Demons’. Andy was personally involved in redesigning five of the covers.
The expanded selection is already reaching local congregations. In September, for example, the Sabra Fellowship in Afula received 243 books, including some of the new titles.
Having these resources available in people's own languages is an important part of our desire to serve the diverse communities throughout Israel.

Our desire remains simple: to make Derek Prince's biblical teaching freely available throughout Israel, helping people grow in their knowledge of God's Word and their relationship with Him.
