What a wonderful time we experienced this past Easter as we remembered Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection. The past 3months have been busy months. I will share some of the events of the past month.
I wish to first thank all our faithful donors and prayer support family who have supported Derek Prince Ministries over the past months and years. We are listening to a radio series this week on the Vine and the Branches. In the 2ndmessage he says the vinedresser the Father is looking for fruit in our lives. One being character to conform to Jesus and the fruit of the Spirit. He said the tree trunk is Jesus the sap is the Holy Spirit. He looks for the tree to reproduce fruit and seeds to produce the next tree. In Prov. it says those who wins souls are wise. The seed is those we bring to the Lord or help teach along the way. May He find us faithful. We value your financial and prayer support to keep Derek’s message being distributed across Southern Africa and Madagascar.
News from Dries and Valerie in Madagascar.
They are busy preparing the 7 Foundation booklets to print them. They will then be added to the website under the heading “Foundations” Teaching letters have been translated and will also be uploaded to the website.
They came across a teaching Derek did on Five Main Ministries which was translated so will be working on those as well. The Self Study Bible Course is being re-edited as it was done many years ago. Valerie has two ladies who can help with the translation work. One is from a ministry. They have the equipment necessary to do the translation work and assist Valerie. Dries is working on getting his new boat inspected so he can continue doing outreach trips.

Namaqualand signs of the new life.

3 boxes of mainly Afrikaans books were sent to Stephanus van De Venter a garage owner and his wife who is a doctor in Garies, Namaqualand for a Bible Study group that has been launched in the area. There are two more Bible Study groups to be launched in the near future. He also requested teaching to help people gripped by generational curse of addictions. Derek’s book “Seën of Vloek” “Blessing or Curse” has been released. We were able to include copies of the book and x 30 Self Study Bible Course books, Afspraak in Jerusalem x 20,Oorwinning deur die Vader x 20 and a number of other titles. Stephanus’ wife isa doctor serving the Namaqualand community and Stephanus visits the schools ministering to hundreds of children while his wife is busy consulting patients.
A ladies Bible Study Group in Pretoria East donated some Afrikaans Bibles which we included in the books sent as many do not even have Bibles. Retired Ps. Hampie Stemmet who visited and ministered extensively in the Cape found that 50+ towns do not even have a resident pastor. There is a complete lack of Bibles and solid Bible teaching that they can understand and put into practice. Derek’s teaching is highly sought after as the most practical teaching to help new believers and those longer on their walk with the Lord.
With us all working together we can make a difference in the Cape!!! Something is happening in Namaqualand it is like the spiritual desert is beginning to flower. It is like things are being revived spiritually. Pastor Hampie Stemmet took Derek’s Afrikaans books as far north as Alexander Bay where a Bible Study was started in a café and more recently a little boy who was very ill Hampie told the dad to anoint him with oil and pray for him and the child was healed. The group have now been able to hold meetings in a church building that was not being used. Then a Bible Study group in Doringbaai and Strandfontein. Now one in Garies Namaqualand. I heard of a lady when she drives on those roads spends time praying for revival for the area.!!
The Shona (Zimbabwe) book samples have just been printed in SA.
We have ordered copies of the books. A doctor in Burgersfort requested the books for the Zimbabwean people in the area. There are 5 book titles and the 10 Foundations booklets.

CENTRAL AMERICA

The previous day I had spoken to another parent while waiting at the school for my granddaughter. This man and his family are from Central America Barbados or Hondures. I told him we have a Spanish Outreach and website. I asked him if he attends the Spanish Church service that runs at the same time as the English one at the church. I told him I have known the Spanish pastor for many years. He was also interested in Derek’s teaching.
The church did a survey and found that 20% of the members are not from South Africa. International diplomates and from all over the world.
