Remote Outreach

Following our time in Prey Veng, the DPM-Cambodia team set out for another amazing pastors’ seminar—this time deep within Svay Rieng province in southeastern Cambodia. Guided by our mission to reach areas with the most limited resources, we chose a highly remote village tucked far away from the main towns.

Journey to the Fields of Svay Rieng

As we navigated the small dirt roads winding through endless rice fields, a watermelon farm, and towering bamboo groves that provided a beautiful canopy of shade, we finally arrived at a newly built village church. The atmosphere was immediately filled with joy. Local pastors were already gathered, waiting to welcome us with radiant smiles, and they eagerly lined up to help us carry boxes of Derek Prince teaching materials into the new sanctuary.

A Growing Hunger for the Word

While we originally anticipated a smaller group due to the remote location, the hunger for spiritual truth proved overwhelming. Sixty-two pastors attended the seminar, completely surpassing our expectations!

We kicked off the day with vibrant praise and worship. The village church only had one speaker—its sound was incredibly sharp and loud—and it was more than enough to carry everyone’s voices up to heaven!

Building on the Rock: Small Groups and Great Food

Once again, our teaching focused on core foundational truths from the Laying the Foundation series, digging into four transformative topics:

  1. Through Repentance to Faith
  2. Faith and Works
  3. The Authority and Power of God’s Word
  4. Founded on the Rock

To make the teaching practical, we broke into small discussion groups. The pastors absolutely loved this time! It gave everyone an equal opportunity to open up, share their personal ministry challenges, and study the scriptures together.

During the sessions, the comforting aroma of lunch drifted into the sanctuary. I walked over to the kitchen area to check on the food that the local village women were preparing and noticed how simple the meal was. Having intentionally saved ministry funds by staying in a very basic, humble guesthouse, we were able to redirect those savings straight into the kitchen—purchasing enough chicken so that every single pastor could enjoy a hearty, nutritious meal!

“Choosing a simple guesthouse wasn't just about saving money; it meant we could host more pastors and serve them a better meal while they fed on the Word of God.”

Testimonial

“My name is Yeung Sophal, and I was in a small group discussion on the book The Authority and Power of God’s Word, hosted by Derek Prince Ministries-Cambodia. This experience has deeply renewed my personal walk and set a new fire for my ministry.

During our study, I was powerfully reminded that the Bible is not merely a book, but God’s perfect, infallible truth and our greatest weapon against temptation. Having personally experienced physical healing and deliverance through the proclamation of Scripture, I know firsthand that God’s Word is absolute, alive, and truly life-changing.

I want to thank Derek Prince Ministries-Cambodia for this empowering seminar. It has reminded me that the Word of God always holds ultimate power. I am returning to my congregation and community in Prey Kralanh with a firm resolve to immerse myself more deeply into the Scriptures and to boldly share their transformative, darkness-dispelling truth with everyone I meet. God is good, and His Word is our ultimate victory!”

Harvest in the Village

Praise the Lord, the seminar was a resounding success! The pastors expressed how perfectly suited the DPM materials are for their daily village ministries, and many are already eagerly asking for the next training session.

Thank you for standing with us. Your prayers and partnership are directly equipping these rural shepherds, ensuring they have both the spiritual meat of the Word and the practical encouragement they need to shine as lights in Svay Rieng.
