Mission and Impact
Remote Indigenous communities face profound challenges, including high rates of unemployment, substance abuse, mental health issues, and overrepresentation in the criminal justice system. Indigenous Australians, who make up a small percentage of the population, are vastly overrepresented in prisons, highlighting systemic inequalities and ongoing social and economic disparities. This community often faces significant barriers to accessing education, healthcare, and employment, leading to a cycle of disadvantage. Prisoners, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, frequently struggle with mental health issues, chronic diseases, and inadequate support systems upon release, perpetuating cycles of disadvantage and recidivism.
Since 1987, Derek Prince Ministries has been dedicated to addressing these spiritual challenges in Australia. Through committed Bible-based outreach and teachings, the ministry brings the light of Jesus Christ to those in need. By providing resources, organizing impactful events, and reaching out to remote and under-served communities, Derek Prince Ministries plays a crucial role in nurturing spiritual growth and hope across the nation. Their work aims to inspire and equip individuals to embrace their faith and become leaders in their communities, reflecting the ministry’s mission to make a lasting impact for the glory of God.
