Derek Prince Ministries has been involved in Africa since before its wider ministry was formally established in 1971. Derek and Lydia Prince first moved to Kenya in 1957, dedicating five years to missionary work at a teacher training college. Their service laid the groundwork that would spread across the continent.

Today, Derek Prince Ministries is engaged in a multifaceted mission across Africa. We are dedicated to discipleship, education, and providing grassroots support to churches. This includes training pastors and distributing teaching resources in multiple languages to improve spiritual literacy and inspire active faith. The ministry also focuses on translating Derek Prince's teachings into numerous African languages, ensuring accessibility and understanding for all.

        The Journey So Far

        The legacy of Derek Prince's commitment to Africa began in the 1950s when he was the principal of the Nyang’ori Teacher Training College in Kenya. Here, he authored the Self-Study Bible Course, a resource for local churches that remains highly influential throughout the world.

        With offices in numerous countries across Africa, Derek Prince Ministries continues to translate resources into local languages as well as distribute vernacular Bibles. This access to Bibles as well as Derek's teaching enables readers to discover truth for themselves.

        There is is a growing number of Bible Schools being established in a variety of nations in Africa and this is training up many students to be effective Christians who live what they have learned and go on to share the Gospel with others.
